Fix WAMP Comman Errors

Lot of ppl complained that when the WAMP Server installed it won’t run on the PC and makes some errors and when they try to run the localhost they will get error report as below today im going to discuss the common errors and how to fix those errors and the steps that you can find the error

First after you have installed the WAMP Server if you see the red icon that’s mean you Apache Server is not running (to run the PHP and MySQL plugging you need the Apache http Server run properly) the common problems are

1. You don’t have proper runtime environment have installed
   
   1. Compatible C++ redistribute package for your APPACHE and System Version
      
      • If you using Win XP x86 (32 bit PC architecture) this means you need C++ x86 redistribute package and also if you using new version of WAMP u also need c++ re.pak. 2008 and the 2010 both installed in the PC
      • And if you use win 7 or win vista check your system architecture by right clicking your My computer icon -> select Properties to find system architecture in system information window If it says x64 you need x64 c++ red.pakg
        
        
      • And depending on your system download your WAMP version x86 or x64 from the web site
   2. Then if you still have the red icon on the W on WAMP go click on the
      
      
      WAMP icon-> Appache -> Services -> test port 80 and you will get black screen telling you is someone using your port 80 or not, if someone(someone means another program lol ) using the port you can’t activate the WAMP you have to shut down the software service
      
      
      in this case my port is no one uses’ so I can go to 4th step but if your PC port using some program(u can see the program name in above window if someone does) u have to close it and if it is a Services, you have to go to the System Services and disable its service to be able to start the WAMP services
      
      
   3. Disabling service is bit risky but you have to do that if you have tons of developing software running on one PC and you can go to Services, Start -> Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Services you will get the window like below
      
      
      And find the program and kick his ass (just disable it :-p) right click on the name of it and select stop (do this with own risk I’m not responsible of anything stupid u do) and go to WAMP icon click on it and select restart all Services if you correctly stopped the program that used u will get the orange W icon displaying your Apache is running properly and if communication is success true port 80
      
      
   4. If it’s still not and you have successfully stopped or there is no program owned port 80 go to WAMP -> click on it -> Apache -> Services -> install service and then go to first try WAMP -> Apache -> Services -> start/ resume Services then try all together WAMP icon -> restart all Services now you can see the orange icon or green W icon if you can’t see the green icon that means your WAMP program is not installed successfully on the system (actually the system plugging/service for PHP or My SQL)
      
      
   5. Let’s check if the PHP is installed successfully, go to WAMP icon -> localhost and I will load in the browser and also remember to give access permission permanently for the WAMP if your Firewall Asked
      
      
      And now the browser will load WAMP localhost main page
      
      
      If you can see this that means your PHP Plugging/Service working properly with Appache
      
      
   6. Now let’s find out y the hell green icon won’t appear? It’s about MySQL so let’s check is MySQL work or not go to WAMP icon -> PHPMyAdmin and if you see blank screen on browser that’s mean your MySQL service is not installed properly or you will see the PHP my admin you gud to go
      
      
   7. If you see the blank screen on browser let’s fix MySQL go to WAMP icon -> MySQL -> Services and it will install Services on Apache and then go to WAMP icon -> MySQL -> start/ resume Services then probably you will see the green W Icon now that’s men you are good to go try WAMP Icon -> phpMyAdmin you will see the below screen or similar in your browser
      
      
   8. But if you stll see the blank screen or error page like this
      
      
      What the hek was this mean? Go and try WAMP icon -> restart all Services and go to WAMP Icon -> phpMyAdmin if you see the PHP my admin now you good to go what if still you seem the error page? You need to configure MySQL ini file to set those values Hm is that it? no if you have above error its little bit tricky to fix it first, what you have to do is
      
      • Exit from WAMP server, right click on WAMP icon -> exit
        
      • Search your whale computer for file “my.ini” without double couts and delete it
        
      • Then start WAMP from start menu
        
      • Let the button go greenand go to WAMP -> Services -> remove Services
        
      • Then go to WAMP -> Services -> install Services
        
      • Then go to WAMP -> Services -> start/resume Services
        
      • And go to WAMP -> phpmyadmin
        
      • If you still see the blank or error window put the curser on the click several time and refresh the browser using F5 or refresh button on the browser you will get the phpmyadmin and now you r good to go
        
      • If its not work do it several times after re-starting pc it will work
        
      
      
   9. If still you are unable to fix this error uninstall the WAMP, Go to the installed folder (WAMP), Delete it completely, Re start the PC and Re-Install the Wamp again in Different location and try, if still it wont work then just forget it already he he
      
      
   10. If You have Removed Directory and you cant install WAMP and Run it Again download any registry cleaner (plz find trustworthy one or it will crash your system ) and run it will fix your registry problem and will make able to re-install and work with WAMP
       

Type Documents in Varias Fonts and Languages

Are you new to computer world and did you looking for solution for type in sinhala and edit images using sinhala fonts, in any computer you can just install sinhala or tamil or any other type font in to your system font folder and you can start using that font immediately but if the language comes with complex combinations of characters it will go far then just typing a letter by using key stork of key board,
This problem comes with the sinhala language too because it has complex combination of the characters as a example ක්‍රේ this single characters is not the one of its own parts but its a collection of   "‍ෙ" "්‍ර" "ක" "්"these 4 symbols together ,in this case you cant simply instal font and use it for complex characters , you need to instal character binder software for type these letters correctly in the document.

keyman Helabasa 6-0-164-0 is a this kind a software that can make your typing correct, the process of correcting these font is another story and il will tel you that later, for now if you have any problem with typing sinhala without massing with Ispili and Papili you better download and install this software.

How to use read (Sinhala Unicode) in your PC

                Hay guys after very long time im about to teach you how to read Sinhala (Unicode) web pages on the internet, what is the Unicode let’s have a look at that first, font means the graphical representation of the computer signals that equals to human character (read http://a-zpoint.blogspot.com/2011/11/how-to-install-fonts-in-your-computer.html) so if you used the computer to show the character then you need a table that matches the pattern and the human known symbol that table calls the ASCII table it used 8bits to represent a one single character so as u know 8bits or 8 position in the binary values can only contained 256 different patterns (2*2*2*2*2*2*2*2 = 256) that’s mean 8bit ASCII can only represent 256 human recognizable characters only. 

                Imagine you need to type a letter in Sinhala or Tamil or using another local language except English, When you’re using a personal pc then it doesn’t matter u can represent the English character set using Sinhala character set by using font files I think that is familiar to you. If you miss the font you will get freak symbols on your document.

The problem is when you work with the global environment like the internet you can’t remove the ASCII set from your web host, so if you used the local character then you have to give the download link to fonts that u used in ur web page that’s a little complex thing and it’s not standard way to deal with the language, the Unicode is standardized to solve that problem it’s a 16 bit character set that can hold 65536 symbols (in utf8 Unicode system)

When you using Sinhala on the internet you have to download the Unicode layout for ur computer because the windows or Mac operating systems are designed to work with the ASCII character layout therefore you have to install the additional support to the computer to recognized the local keyboard layout otherwise it can’t show you the font and you will see box with hex codes inside of it.

How to search for the Unicode appropriate for ur system
 

                Go to the browser and go to search section or go to the search engine and type “Sinhala Unicode download for xp sp2” if you need Tamil Unicode for the windows 7 then “Tamil Unicode download for windows 7” or any other O/S or any Unicode system I think u get the idea hear, ok search for  win xp sp2 Unicode  system

After download double click on the downloaded exe file in download folder or Firefox download window and double click on the exe file that you downloaded and follow the steps below

remember to save and close all the works and then click OK

it will takes little time to install on your computer

and then it will ask you to install sinhala enabling pack on your PC

 

 click Next

 

Check agree button and click Next

finally click Finish

  After install select Start --> Turn off computer --> Turn off (start menu icon --> 'u' -->' r') 

After restart you can see language bar on bottom right corner of your task bar and language icons on the system tray.

Now you can start typing and wive any Sinhalese and Tamil web page on the internet

to start typing in Sinhala first you need to know the sinhala key layout download Wijesekara Sinhalese keyboard layout hear and take a printout

Font changing is unique to the window that u currently use, its mean if you used note pad to type the sinhala Unicode u have to open the Notepad and when its on focused then left click on the language bar and change the language type using popup selector as shown in picture below

 

remember the language change is only applied to the selected window only if you have to type in sinhala or tamil in the Word document on the same time you have to change the language type like this when the word document is selected

How to install fonts in your computer

    Oki guys today I’m going to teach you how to install different font on your computer, before begin this let’s take a look at the teary behind it.
    Computer is an Electro mechanical machine and it communicate with electronic pulse known as binary signals (Digital signals), so how computer shows human understandable symbols? (Numbers, letters etc.), to do that computer uses a table called ASCII (American Standard Code for Information Interchange) that table contained Human recognized symbols equals to the 8bit binary signals

    So now the computer operating system can recognize the character output of the computer as symbols that human can understand, to display the graphics of the symbols the computer needs chart of illustrated chart equals to ASCII value, that table inside the O/S (operating system) we called a FONT file, without it computer never will be able to show the graphic of numbers, Characters, Symbols on your Screen. To use deferent type, shapes and languages you need different type of Fonts installed on your system, now you know what’s the important of the Fonts files so let’s go to business.
Downloading fonts from internet
    To install the font you have to download it first or create one by yourself (ill tell you how to do this later)

1. Open your browser
2. go to search engine
3. type”font name/font type name” + font +download (eg. Bamini +Tamil font+ download)
4. go to site and find the correct link and download it to your pc
5. Go to download location
6. Select the file
7. and copy (use “Ctrl + C” or right click menu Copy command) file to clipboard

then you have to copy that font to your system foalder

1. go to Control panel
2. Open Font Directory
3. And Past ( “Ctrl + V” or right click menu Paste command)

That’s all if file exist their it will ask to replace it be careful with that, Now you can work with the files and use that font any wear on your system applications.

How to convert Word Document to PDF file (Office 2003,2007,2010)

Hear is anther way to convert Word files to PDF. to do this you have to download Word to PDF Converter and fallow the instruction below

1. Download Word_to_PDF_Converter_3.0__serial.rar from www.rapidshare.
2. click on the above link and click on the download (highlighting on the red in below illustrator)



3. extract compress files and go to extracted file location



4.  Close all the MS Office Programs (Word , Excel, PowerPoint etc.) Before install the plugin
5. Double click on the doc2pdf2_setup-1.exe to execute 
6. Click Next --> accept agreement --> Next --> Next --> Next --> Install --> Finish













7. Then run psconvert_setup.exe 
8. Next --> Finish








9. Start the Ms-Word and now you can see new tool bar in word 2003 as like the illustrator in below (in word 2007 or later versions its appear on the add ins tab  )

10. OK, Now you can use save as PDF button to save your word documents, but in the first time you have to activate the product using registration code (if you like the software please buy a product key to support the Creator) , the above package comes with the registration code and you can use that serial key without any problem.






11.  Click on register and enter the 'Registration Name' and 'Registration code' as illustrated below and click register again






12. now remember above procedure shows for first time use only, after that you can save the file as a PDF file in a regular way (click on 'save as PDF' --> select drive --> give a file name --> click save)

How to convert Word Document to PDF file

               Some time we need to create documents in very uncommon fonts like a Sinhala font or we need to stop change the document content mistakenly by third parties or to make the document common and fit it to the document structure safely we used the document type call PDF

So how to convert or create your document to PDF file? that creates by the program MS word?

I’ll show you easy way to do that with ms word 2007 (these steps you can apply to all other latest version of ms Office without any changes)

First you need to download the PDF plug-in from Microsoft web site to add the office package to allow “save as PDF” functionality.

  

It’s a small executable file that will take less than one minute to download

After completions of the download double click on it to execute, and remember you must close all the ms office programs before setup, othervice it won’t work properly.

After clicking on it Windows will ask you to allow the accesses to setup process click yes to go on, Click the check box accepting terms and hit the continue button

Sit back and relax watching the setup process, it takes several minutes to complete

After completion you ready to go, open your word document, and go to Home click on it and select Save As (but don’t click on it) and then choose ‘PDF or XPS’ 

 

Now it will open the same Save as dialogs box as you see in thousand times

Select a location, put a name for your PDF file and hit Publish, that’s all folks.
